About This Role
PNG Air is recruiting experienced ATR 72 Type Rating Instructors and Type Rating Examiners for a direct-hire position based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The role will help develop flight crew capability, maintain training standards, and support the airline's expanding ATR 72 operation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As an ATR 72 TRI/TRE, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing flight crew capability, maintaining training standards, and supporting PNG Air's growing ATR 72 operation.
- The position is part of the airline's instructor function and calls for previous airline training and checking experience.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold valid TRI and/or TRE approval on ATR, with ICAO-equivalent credentials accepted
- have previous airline training and checking experience
- and meet the stated experience minimums of 3,000 or more total flight hours, 500 or more multi-engine hours, 500 or more Part 121 flight hours, and 500 or more turbo time. The role requires a valid ATPL, a valid ATR 72-500 or ATR 72-600 type rating, and a Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating. Candidates must have ELP level 4 or higher, a valid Class 1 Medical, and an OPC completed within the last 6-12 months. They must currently be flying as an ATR 72-500 or ATR 72-600 PIC, TRI, or TRE, or their last flight must have been within the previous 18 months. An ATR 72-600 type rating is listed as an advantage.
