About This Role
Ornge, Ontario's air ambulance and critical care transport provider, is hiring a Permanent Full Time PC12 EMS First Officer to fly Fixed Wing air ambulance missions across Ontario from bases in Sioux Lookout, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, and Timmins. Pilots work various shifts (standard 12 hours) in a 24/7 environment including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. Targeted salary range is $77,763.97-$100,516.47/year as per the OPEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Position Summary: PC 12 EMS First Officers are responsible for all aspects of aircraft operation including crew and passenger safety, and must be able to fly in varying conditions, handle pressure well, and be flexible and adaptable.
- They are responsible for following all applicable policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ornge aircraft are province wide resources and aviation personnel may be required to provide flight support at bases other than the home base where demand arises.
- All Ornge pilots are required to complete the company’s training program and successfully pass a PPC/IFT check conducted by a Transport Canada Inspector or Approved Check Pilot.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Valid Commercial Pilot Licence (issued by Transport Canada) A minimum of 500 hours of flight experience Group 1 or 3 IFR rating Valid Category 1 Medical.
- Valid Canadian Passport or ability to work in Canada and unrestricted ability to travel to the USA.
- Preference will be given to those with 500 PIC time.
- Required: A satisfactory criminal record search and Immunization records with required vaccinations.
