About This Role

Advanced Air, LLC is hiring a King Air 350 Check Pilot (Check Airman) in Hawthorne, California. The role trains, evaluates, mentors, and standardizes King Air 350 pilots while also serving as Pilot in Command during line operations supporting Essential Air Service routes and on-demand charter operations. Responsibilities include initial, recurrent, upgrade, remedial, proficiency, line, and route checks; debriefing and corrective-training recommendations; FAA and company SOP compliance; PIC and SIC operational duties; safety management; and support of FAA observations and audits. The position progresses through SIC and Company Ground Instructor duties, PIC and Flight Instructor duties, and ultimately PIC and Check Pilot duties, with average flight activity of 65 hours per month and a schedule involving flying days, nights away from base, bid days off, and on-call availability.

What you Can Expect includes Instructor Pilot Base Pay of $65,000Check Pilot Base Pay of $115,00 to $178,546Pilot Year 1 Average Gross Compensation of $117,500.00Pilot Year 2 Average Gross Compensation of $136,000.00Pilot Year 3 Average Gross Compensation of $150,000.00and Pilot Year 4 Average Gross Compensation of $172,000.00. Flight crews can expect to average 65 flight hours a month, 15 flying days a month, and 8 to 12 nights away from base as the schedule allows. Pilots bid days off based on seniority 14 days in advance, generating a schedule of 10 meaningful hard days off a month. There are 13 schedule periods in a calendar year.
