About This Role
This full-time fixed-wing pilot position supports Sanford Air Transport from the Dickinson, North Dakota base, operating a King Air 200 in a dual-pilot operation and flying fixed-wing missions requested by Sanford. The pilot is responsible for the safe and efficient conduct of each flight from initial dispatch through termination while complying with FAA regulations, the company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Federal Aviation Regulations, and the Aircraft Flight Manual. The listing specifies 12-hour rotating shifts, 40 scheduled weekly hours, a 5-on/5-off, 4-on/4-off roster, shared on-call coverage, and residence within four hours of the base.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assigned and oriented to Sanford Air Transport, the fixed-wing pilot flies flight missions requested by Sanford. The pilot must comply with applicable FAA regulations and is directly responsible for all operations pertaining to the safe and efficient conduct of each flight from initial dispatch through termination. Duties include maintaining working knowledge of the company Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manual, and other requirements pertinent to specific flights

- applying critical thinking to solve problems and immediately respond to changing environments
- and sharing on-call and vacation coverage shifts. The operation is a dual-pilot King Air 200 service, and pilots may work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.
What We Offer
The position offers a 5-on/5-off, 4-on/4-off schedule with flexibility to swap shifts and base housing available during scheduled shifts.Additional package items include a $15-per-day meal stipend, time-and-a-half pay for additional shifts outside the normal schedule, onsite maintenance, eligibility for the 401(k) and 457F plans, and $13,000 in annual additional pay specific to the Dickinson location.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education with previous Part 135 experience is preferred. The pilot must have a minimum of 2,000 fixed-wing flight hours and 250 multi-engine hours
- turbine time is desired. The pilot must satisfy instrument-currency requirements in FAR 61.57(c) or have a current company instrument proficiency check, hold a current FAA Commercial Certificate with Multi-Engine Land and instrument rating, and hold a current second-class medical certificate. The pilot must weigh 240 pounds or less fully dressed in uniform and must live within four hours of the Dickinson base. Rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call work may be required, and all pilots share on-call and vacation coverage shifts.
