About This Role
First Officer / Second in Command (SIC) on the Saab 2000 at Sterling Airways (Aleutian Airways), based in Anchorage, AK. Reports to the Chief Pilot. Part 121 second-in-command role; ATP-minimums-required, prior 121 SIC Saab 2000 experience preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Duties and Responsibilities These shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of the equipment operated, Federal Aviation Regulations governing the operation of this equipment as well as the Company’s manuals, policies and other instructions.
- Responsible to the captain for the proper planning of the flight in accordance with all applicable weather information and reports, applicable Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Performing all duties the captain may assign in flight.
- Delegating functions to other crewmembers only when command of the aircraft is assumed due to incapacitation of the PIC.
- Possessing required certificates and documents appropriate for flight performance.
- Employing CRM concept of “Assertiveness with Respect”.
- Continuing the professional training toward upgrading their performance and abilities.
- Observing the Rules of Conduct for all employees as outlined in the Sterling Airways Team Member Handbook.
Requirements
- Qualifications
- ATP certificate preferred
- ATP minimums required.
- 1st class medical.
- Able to pass full DOT background checks and initial and random drug screens.
- Multi engine experience.
- Physical ability to perform all job duties.
- Prior 121 SIC Experience in Saab 2000 preferred.
