About This Role
Air New Zealand is seeking expressions of interest from pilots for First Officer positions in its turboprop fleets. The role places successful applicants in the right-hand seat of an ATR or Dash 8 Q300, with positions available across multiple bases around New Zealand and a potential pathway to the airline's jet fleet. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a First Officer in the right-hand seat of an ATR or Dash 8 Q300 within Air New Zealand's turboprop fleet.
- Work as part of the flight crew to fly customers to their destinations and help provide safe and enjoyable journeys.
- The position is available across multiple bases and may support either a long-term career flying turboprops or progression toward the airline's jet fleet.
- Pilots are also encouraged to demonstrate leadership in all of their roles.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold an NZCAA CPL or ATPL, NZCAA MEIR, NZCAA Class 1 Medical, NZCAA BTK/BGT endorsements and L6 English Language Proficiency. The stated minimum experience is 500 hours total time, including 25 night hours and 40 hours of instrument flight time. An NZCAA ATPL or having passed all ATPL subjects is preferred. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, permanent residents or residents, or Australian citizens, and must be able to travel overseas with a valid passport and any necessary visas. These requirements must normally be met before an offer of employment, although Air New Zealand may consider foreign-issued qualifications while the applicant completes NZCAA conversion through the formal Aspeq Foreign Licence Conversion initial process
