About This Role
Jet Access is hiring a typed/current Citation XLS+ (CE-560XLS+) First Officer who must be local to Carlsbad, California. The role is an essential crewmember position across a diverse managed and charter fleet, supporting safe, compliant, and exceptional FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operations while working closely with Captains and the flight-operations team. Responsibilities span flight preparation, crew resource management, emergency support, client service, regulatory and documentation compliance, audit readiness, and aircraft stewardship. The position includes domestic and international travel, multi-day trips, evening and weekend availability, on-call periods, 10 hard days off per month, and approximately 25 flight hours per month, while offering a platform for professional growth in private aviation. Duties & Responsibilities
- Flight operations and safety: Conduct aircraft operations and related assignments in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual and company policies
- comply with flight- and duty-time limitations and rest-period requirements
- maintain proficiency and currency as a required crewmember on all assigned aircraft types
- lead pre-flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAM review, and other flight-preparation activities with the assigned Captain
- and assist the Captain with flight-related duties, crew resource management, and emergency procedures. Client service: Foster attentive, friendly, and professional client relationships, deliver passenger service that exceeds expectations, coordinate with the flight-operations team to provide seamless travel, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor representing the Jet Access brand, and anticipate and accommodate special client requests with discretion and flexibility. Professional development and collaboration: Participate in required training, recertification programs, and recurrent proficiency events

- communicate proactively with dispatch, maintenance, and scheduling about operational issues
- and support audit readiness under ARGUS, Wyvern, and IS-BAO frameworks. Aircraft stewardship and ground operations: Conduct thorough post-flight walkarounds, coordinate with maintenance on discrepancies, maintain aircraft appearance and interior cleanliness between flights, support aircraft positioning, ferry flights, and repositioning assignments, monitor aircraft systems and promptly communicate anomalies to the Captain and maintenance, and complete additional assignments as needed.
What We Offer

Requirements
- Required qualifications include a minimum of 1,500 hours total flying time and 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command total time, Commercial Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating, a current Second Class Medical Certificate renewed every 12 months, and completion of initial or recurrent training on the assigned CE-560XLS+ aircraft type within the preceding 12 months.
- A First Class Medical and an ATP Certificate are preferred, with the ATP described as strongly preferred rather than as an unrestricted requirement.
- Candidates must have working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operations, a thorough understanding of FAA, ICAO, and international flight-operations regulations for assigned routes, and proficiency with digital flight-planning tools, avionics systems, and web-based or mobile flight applications.
- Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening is required, along with alignment with Jet Access's safety and excellence values.
- This field-based, aircraft-based role requires regular in-person presence at assigned base airports and charter departure points, domestic and international travel including extended overnight and multi-day assignments, a valid state driver's license for airport ground transportation and repositioning support, physical stamina for extended flight-duty periods and variable environmental conditions, and the ability to meet FAA medical and physical standards for Part 135 commercial operations.
- The schedule is variable, with 10 hard days off per month, approximately 25 flight hours per month, early departures, late arrivals, multi-day sequences, evening and weekend availability, and on-call periods.
- When not on trip assignment, Level 10 Meeting and all-hands attendance expectations apply, and communication with dispatch and scheduling remains continuous.
- Preferred differentiators include turbine or jet time, prior Part 135 or corporate flight-operations experience in a managed fleet, familiarity with Avianis, ForeFlight Dispatch, or similar platforms, international operations experience involving ICAO airspace, customs coordination and overwater procedures, and a record of exceptional client service in a high-end or luxury setting.
