About This Role
Air Methods is seeking a temporary fixed-wing pilot to operate PC-12 aircraft for emergency medical transport services in Farmington, New Mexico. This is a critical role in Air Methods' mission to provide life-saving air ambulance services to communities across the nation. Candidates must have extensive experience with a minimum of 2,500 total flight hours, including 1,000 PIC hours in fixed-wing aircraft, 500 hours turbine time, and current IFR capabilities. The position offers a $50,000 annual base stipend plus a $15,000 sign-on bonus, off-duty housing, comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and a supportive work-life balance with a 7/7 roster pattern.
Requirements
- Minimum 2,500 total flight hours
- Minimum 2,000 hours in category (fixed-wing)
- 1,000 hours PIC in category
- 500 hours cross-country flight time
- 500 hours fixed-wing turbine time
- 100 hours night flight time
- 100 hours actual instrument conditions in category
- Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating
- ATP rating in category meets this requirement
- First or Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
- Current currency - flown in category within previous 24 months
- Weight not to exceed 250 pounds
- Less than 70 years old
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school
- Two to five years related experience and/or training
- Subject to DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing
- Subject to background check and security clearance requirements
