About This Role
Sierra West Airlines is recruiting a full-time First Officer for its family-owned Part 135 operation on the Learjet LR-60. The position is based at Modesto, California (MOD), with the listing requiring applicants to be within a two-hour commute to Modesto or willing to relocate; the ATS location record separately names Oakdale, California. Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer must use professional communication skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications, maintain a professional appearance for passenger flights, and deliver high levels of customer service.
- Duties include assisting with loading and unloading freight, cleaning and stocking the aircraft, operating the aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and program/corporate policies and procedures, emphasizing flight-crew safety and exemplary customer service, and noting and communicating aircraft deficiencies for maintenance review and correction.
- The role includes flights during the day, at night, and in all weather conditions, other duties as assigned, extensive travel, various shifts, overtime, occasional after-hours callouts, and frequent unplanned overnight flights away from base of uncertain duration.

Requirements
- Required qualifications include a Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine land and instrument rating or an Airline Transport Pilot License
- a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate
- a current Instrument Proficiency Check

Basic qualifications specify 1,500 hours total time (TT), 500 hours multi-engine (ME), an iPad when reporting for duty, and relocation to the assigned base. Preferred qualifications include Part 135 experience, familiarity with company aircraft and/or previous cargo experience, an LR-60 SIC type rating, and Certified MEI
- ATP is also preferred. New entry-level hires must be willing to make the required 18-month training commitment.
