About This Role
Challenge Airlines (BE) S.A. is recruiting a reserve flight-crew pilot for its Liège-based Belgian cargo operation, which runs daily scheduled cargo flights and international charter services for nonstandard goods and general cargo as part of a rapidly growing global group. Reporting to the Chief Pilot and supporting Flight Operations, the pilot conducts pre-flight safety checks, communicates with air traffic control, monitors cockpit instruments, weather, aircraft position and traffic, requests flight-plan changes when needed, and files flight and aircraft-status reports around each landing. The general profile calls for at least 1,000 hours on CS-25 aircraft, a valid EASA ATPL or CPL, EASA Part-Med Class 1, ICAO English level 4 and knowledge of aviation safety rules; the Captain path adds recent B777 or B747-400 experience, 6,000 hours total time on medium/heavy jets, and either 1,000 hours on type or 3,000 hours PIC on medium/heavy jets. Duties & Responsibilities
- As a Flight Crew member for the cargo airline, the pilot is expected to conduct flights with care and efficiency, check each flight, ensure flight plans are prepared and submitted, and submit regular reports. Reporting to the Chief Pilot and supporting the Flight Operations Department, duties include conducting all pre-flight checks for safety
- communicating with air traffic control throughout the flight
- checking all cockpit instruments for proper operation
- regularly observing weather, aircraft position and air traffic and requesting a change to the flight plan when needed
- and filing flight-trip and aircraft-status reports before and after landing.

Requirements
- General requirements include recent Boeing experience as a preferred qualification, with B777 or B747-400 experience considered an asset
- a minimum of 1,000 hours on CS-25 aircraft
- a valid EASA ATPL or CPL licence
- a valid EASA Part-Med Class 1 medical
- ICAO English language proficiency at level 4
- and knowledge of federal aviation safety rules, regulations and procedures. Captain applicants additionally require recent B777 or B747-400 experience, 6,000 hours total time on medium/heavy jets, and either 1,000 hours on type or 3,000 hours PIC on medium/heavy jets. The Captain licence requirement is a valid EASA ATPL with a valid B777 or B747-400 rating, together with EASA Part-Med Class 1 and ICAO English proficiency level 4.
