About This Role
Challenge Airlines (BE) S.A. is a Belgian-AOC cargo airline based at Liège Airport (LGG), operating scheduled international cargo flights and charter services for nonstandard goods and general freight. The Pilot Reserve serves as a Flight Crew Member supporting the Flight Operations Department, reporting to the Chief Pilot and contributing to safe, efficient flight operations, cockpit management, flight-plan execution, air traffic control communications, weather and traffic monitoring, and post-flight reporting. The posting covers general reserve-pilot qualifications as well as additional requirements for Captain positions, including recent B777 or B747-400 experience, substantial medium-heavy or jet time, and a valid type rating.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Flight Crew Member reports to the Chief Pilot and supports the Flight Operations Department. Duties include conducting all pre-flight checks to ensure operational safety
- communicating with air traffic control throughout the flight
- checking cockpit instruments for proper operation
- continuously monitoring weather conditions, aircraft position, and surrounding air traffic
- requesting changes to the flight plan when necessary
- and filing reports covering the flight trip and aircraft status before and after landing. The role carries responsibility for the safety of the aircraft and the people on board and requires flight preparation, efficient execution, and regular operational reporting.

Requirements
- Recent Boeing experience is preferred, with B777 or B747-400 experience listed as an asset.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 1,000 hours on CS-25 aircraft, hold a valid EASA ATPL or CPL licence, hold a valid EASA Part-Med Class 1 medical certificate, and demonstrate at least ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4.
- Candidates must also understand applicable federal aviation safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- For Captain positions, recent B777 or B747-400 experience is required, together with 6,000 hours of total time on medium-heavy or jet aircraft and either 1,000 hours on type or 3,000 hours as PIC on medium-heavy or jet aircraft.
- Captain applicants must hold a valid EASA ATPL with a valid B777 or B747-400 type rating, as well as an EASA Part-Med Class 1 certificate and ICAO English Level 4.
