About This Role
Textron Aviation is seeking a Pilot, Owner Services, based in Sarasota, Florida, to provide on-site flight support for owners covered by the Textron ProOwnership management agreement. The pilot will reside within a two-hour drive of the managed aircraft base and perform daily flight activities such as scheduling, trip planning, aircraft care, maintenance coordination, owner communication, and safe, legally compliant aircraft utilization. The role combines flight operations, customer service, aircraft oversight, regulatory compliance, currency management, and coordination with maintenance, account-management, and flight-operations leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide on-site flight support for owners and enhance the ownership experience through product expertise on Citation systems, avionics, and flying characteristics, while communicating product and ownership benefits during flight activities.
- Act as the liaison between the owner and Textron Aviation, fairly representing both parties under the agency agreement and serving as the primary contact for remotely based flight-operation issues when designated as lead pilot.
- Explain Pilot-in-Command responsibilities, safe operating standards, and efficient aircraft-utilization methods to the owner, and pursue practical solutions to operational issues.
- Conduct preflight and post-flight inspections for mechanical and cosmetic discrepancies, communicate findings to the Maintenance Manager and applicable Service Center, and help maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Coordinate required aircraft inspections with maintenance and ensure aircraft are certified to MNPS, RVSM, and RNP standards for domestic and international travel.
- Work with the account manager on the aircraft flight schedule, continuously monitor flight activity against the operations manual, and ensure compliance with crew duty limits, rest requirements, runway-length limitations, and weather minimums, with operational safety paramount on every flight.
- Maintain familiarity with applicable FAA and ICAO regulations and comply with all regulations and local operating procedures.
- Ensure training and flight currency for all phases of operations, notify the Chief Pilot or Manager of Aircraft Management when currency is nearing expiration, and attend initial, recurrent, emergency-procedures, crew-coordination, international-procedures, and other required training.
- Perform daily department-management duties including maintaining aircraft flight logs, updating navigation equipment, obtaining current electronic and hard-copy flight documents, storeroom duties, and light aircraft cleaning.
- Coordinate vacation requests with the account manager.

Requirements
- Education and experience: A bachelor's degree in aviation or an aerospace-related field is preferred. In lieu of a degree, candidates must meet the listed qualifications and a minimum of three years of industry experience, which the posting marks as preferred. Required qualifications include the ability to obtain and maintain a valid US passport
- the ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class medical
- Airline Transport Pilot certification and demonstrated piloting skills above the minimums stated in the appropriate Practical Test Standards
- 1,000 hours in turboprop, turbofan, or turbojet aircraft
- the ability to consistently comply with customer insurance requirements
- and a valid driver's license and passport with expiration dates of no less than six months. Preferred qualifications include an FAA Flight Instructor Certification, a Cessna Citation 525 series type rating, 3,000 total logged flying hours, international operating experience, experience with Citation products, and multi-crew environment experience.
