About This Role
Jett Aircraft is recruiting home-based Captains and First Officers to operate its Learjet 40/45 fleet under FAR Part 135 standards. Each pilot is type rated in the Learjet 45 through company training programs at partner facilities. The company advertises an average of approximately 16 days per month, around five overnights per month, flexible scheduling, company-provided uniforms and Lucchese boots, salary plus day-rate compensation, bonuses, and an extensive travel and employment benefits package.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain serves as pilot-in-command for assigned flights, retains responsibility for delegated duties, and ensures safety is the primary consideration.
- Captain duties include filing flight plans, completing weight and balance calculations, checking NOTAMs and weather, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, company policies, and safety-management procedures, assessing operational risk, planning each flight, confirming fuel requirements, determining aircraft airworthiness, verifying preflight inspections, calculating aircraft weight and balance within AFM limits, directing the First Officer, handling passengers and baggage or cargo, and arranging aircraft ground handling when personnel are unavailable.
- The First Officer reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and operationally to the Captain.
- First Officer duties include assisting the Captain, ensuring regulatory and company-policy compliance, supervising refueling and checking fuel caps, performing pre- and post-flight walk-around inspections, handling radio communications and required paperwork, flying at the Captain’s direction, completing aircraft and BART CoPilot App log entries for names, dates, locations, flight times, and duty times, maintaining the aircraft interior, maintaining proficiency and knowledge of aircraft systems and procedures, holding the appropriate medical certificate, participating in training and proficiency checks, acting as inflight and ground security coordinator when required, checking passenger IDs against the manifest, and assuming command if the Captain becomes incapacitated.

Requirements
- The Captain profile lists ATP certification, 1,500 hours of total flight time, current U.S. passport, and a first-class FAA medical. It separately identifies 2,500 total hours as preferred and specifies 500 hours of turbine time and 500 hours of multi-engine time. The First Officer profile requires 500 hours of total flight time, lists 1,000 hours as preferred, and requires a current U.S. passport and second-class FAA medical
- a first-class medical is preferred. All pilots are type rated in the Learjet 45 through company training. Pilots must also be able to lift, push, or pull at least 80 pounds while completing daily aircraft-operation tasks.
