About This Role
Aerometrex is seeking qualified pilots for their aerial survey operations flying a P68 fleet. This full-time role involves executing precision aerial survey missions with LiDAR/BARS capture systems. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Flying Operations and must have commercial pilot experience, multi-engine instrument rating, and previous survey or special mission operations experience. Candidates must reside within 2 hours of a major Australian city and be available for a 16 days on/12 days off roster.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Timely execution of aerial survey missions
- Active monitoring of weather and other factors ensuring safe, efficient flights
- Precision capture and delivery of quality imagery
- Navigating congested airspace and air traffic coordination
- Inspection and monitoring of aircraft, powerplant, systems and equipment
- Organisation, neatness, and cleanliness of aircraft and equipment
- Frequent communications with stakeholders and daily submission of reports
- Maintain aircraft performance within the capture systems operational envelope
- Comply with all applicable aviation regulations and Company's Operations Manual
- Complete all company documentation and administration in required timeframes

Requirements
- Australian Commercial Pilots Licence Aeroplane
- Multi-Engine Instrument Rating Aeroplane
- Class 1 Aviation Medical
- Total flight hours: 2500 minimum
- Total Command hours: 1500 minimum
- Multi-Engine PIC/PICUS: 500 hours minimum
- Total command on ME-Class <5700kg: 100 hours minimum
- Experience in Primary control zones (Class D and C)
- Previous Survey or special mission operations experience
- Ability to work 16 days on / 12 days off roster (with 4 standby days)
- Reside within 2 hours of a major Australian city
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team
