About This Role
Texas A&M University System Offices is hiring a corporate pilot to serve as pilot-in-command on a Citation XLS and/or King Air 200 from College Station, Texas. The pilot plans flights, makes operational and airworthiness decisions, transports passengers, and mentors other crew members.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs duties as pilot-in-command with priorities of safety, quality and efficiency.
- Performs or delegates preflight inspection of aircraft prior to departure and flight planning for entire trip with consideration to passenger needs and limitations of aircraft and crew.
- Makes aircraft air worthiness decisions when not at maintenance facility.
- Makes decisions to initiate, postpone, or cancel any assigned flight based on a conservative evaluation of operating conditions and passenger requirements.
- Provides appropriate training and mentoring of less experienced crew members.
Requirements
- Documented minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time of which 800 hours must be pilot-in-command and 800 hours multi-engine flight time of which 300 hours must be of turbo-prop or jet experience.
- Commercial pilot certificate with appropriate ratings for equipment flown.
- Multi-engine and instrument ratings.
- ATP certificate can be substituted.
- Current Federal Aviation Administration Second Class Medical Certification.
