About This Role
NetJets is recruiting a West Region First Officer to provide safe, technically accurate and highly personalized private aviation service. The pilot remains in full command of the aircraft while also serving as the primary onboard representative for NetJets Owners and passengers, combining professional flight operations with concierge-level service. The role covers multiple bases throughout the western United States and requires flexibility for extended tours, changing schedules, international travel and time away from home.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely from taxi through takeoff and landing in accordance with FAA guidance, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and applicable Standard Operating Practices.
- Greet Owners and passengers before each flight, make introductions, brief them on the specific flight and trip, verify the itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes.
- Provide in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
- Load and properly stow baggage, and handle flights involving Owners' pets or passengers who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all operational matters and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as the liaison between Owners, passengers and NetJets from arrival at the departure FBO through safe landing and departure from the destination FBO.
- Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the fleet Maintenance Control Center controller and complete all related maintenance paperwork.
- Perform other duties assigned according to the position and operational assignment.

Requirements
- Applicants must have a high school education and a written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) qualification, a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, a valid passport, authorization to work in the United States and unrestricted international travel capability. The posting accepts an FAA ATP, a Restricted ATP, or candidates who meet FAA ATP or R-ATP requirements with a multi-engine rating under 61.160. The stated flight-time pathways are 1,500 hours total flight time, 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, 1,000 hours with a military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate. Applicants must also have 200 hours of cross-country flight time over 50 nautical miles, 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC time, 100 hours of night flying or the stated reduced night-flying alternative, 75 hours of instrument time excluding simulator time, and 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time. The ATP written examination must be completed before Indoctrination Training. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid state driver's license, pass TSA background screening, and obtain required airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges. They must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently

The position requires work on varying day and night schedules, weekdays, weekends and holidays, with the flexibility to adjust rapidly and manage rest for flight duty. Duty may last up to 14 hours per day for as many as eight days, cross time zones and weather conditions, and require seven or more nights away from home in hotels. Applicants must be able to work around and handle animals, conduct flights for Owners who smoke, and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently or 10 pounds constantly.
