About This Role
NetJets is hiring a First Officer for its West Region private-aviation operation. The pilot is expected to deliver safe, technically accurate air transportation and a polished, concierge-level experience for NetJets Owners and passengers, serving as the face of the company and maintaining a professional demeanor. The role combines professional flight operations with passenger-facing service: the pilot operates under FAA guidance, OEM checklists, the NetJets FOM/AOM and SOPs; briefs and assists passengers; provides in-flight service; manages baggage, pets and smoking-related passenger needs; and communicates maintenance issues. The position involves highly variable schedules, extended duty periods and trips that can keep the pilot away from home for seven or more days and nights.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely from taxi through takeoff and landing in accordance with FAA guidance, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and Standard Operating Practices.
- Greet Owners and passengers before each flight, make introductions, brief them on the specific trip, verify the itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes.
- Provide in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
- Load and properly stow baggage, and handle flights involving Owners with pets or passengers who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all operational matters, including compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as the liaison between Owners, passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO through safe landing and departure from the final FBO.
- Report maintenance abnormalities and discrepancies through the aircraft Maintenance Control Center controller on duty for the fleet and complete the associated paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including additional essential functions associated with the position.

Requirements
- The posting requires a high-school education and accepts an FAA ATP, a Restricted ATP (R-ATP), or candidates who meet the stated FAA ATP/R-ATP requirements with a multi-engine rating under 61.160. Total-flight-time eligibility is 1,500 hours, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate. Candidates also need to be at least 21 years old, have 200 hours of cross-country flight time over 50 nm, 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC time, 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings, 75 hours of instrument time actual or simulated in flight excluding simulator time, and 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time. The ATP written examination must be completed before Indoctrination Training, and applicants need a current FAA First-Class Medical certificate and FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit. The role requires a valid United States passport, authorization to work in the U.S., unrestricted international travel, a valid state driver's license, the ability to secure airport authority or U.S. Customs security badges, and successful completion of TSA background screening. The schedule may include days, nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays, with duty lasting up to 14 hours per day for up to eight days, spanning time zones and extreme weather differences, and requiring seven or more days and nights away from home in hotels.
