About This Role
Southwest Airlines seeks experienced First Officers to join their Flight Operations team and safely operate their Boeing 737 fleet while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements
- USA DOT/FAA Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- Airplane Multiengine Land Category and Class Ratings
- English Proficient limitation on certificate
- USA DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- Valid United States Driver's License
- Valid passport with unrestricted international travel ability
- Minimum 500 hours in fixed-wing turbine aircraft
- Turbine Pilot In Command (TPIC) time on 121 airline, military, or U.S. based operations
- B-737 type rating
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
- No current or future work authorization sponsorship available
- Minimum 23 years of age at time of hire
- Able to lift and move 40 lbs
- Ability to communicate and interact in English language
- Ability to bend, stand, and sit for extended periods
- Must comply with Drug-Free Workplace and Alcohol Misuse policies
- Successful completion of initial and recurrent training programs and proficiency checks
- Must be able to read documents, follow instructions, and comprehend detailed lengthy instructions
- Must be alert to moving equipment and hazardous situations
- Able to work under tight time constraints for quick aircraft turns (15-20 minutes)
