About This Role
NetJets is hiring a First Officer for the South Central Region within its Crewmembers department. The pilot provides safe, technically accurate private air transportation while serving as the face of NetJets and delivering a concierge-level experience to Owners and passengers, including in-flight service, baggage handling, and flights involving pets or Owners who smoke. The role places the pilot in full command and as the final authority for operational, safety, and regulatory matters, while also requiring maintenance-discrepancy reporting and customer liaison work from the departure FBO through the destination. Trips can involve duty of up to 14 hours per day for up to eight days, seven or more days and nights away from home, and changing time zones and weather; the posted base salary range is $86,015-$117,706 with extensive healthcare, leave, insurance, and retirement benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely from taxi, take-off, and landing on each flight in accordance with FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets' Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices (SOPs). Remain in full command and serve as the final authority for all areas of operation, including compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance, while maintaining a professional demeanor. Greet Owners and passengers before flight, make introductions, brief them on the specific flight or trip, verify itineraries, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes. Deliver in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering
- load and properly stow baggage
- and handle and conduct flights for Owners with pets and Owners who smoke. Act as the liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until they have safely landed and departed the final FBO. Report maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the on-duty Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller for the fleet and complete the associated paperwork. Perform other duties assigned according to the assignment, including other essential job functions identified for the position.

Requirements
- Education: High School. Certifications and licenses listed are Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), First Class Medical Certificate, and an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
- the KSAOs require an FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or the qualifications for an FAA ATP/R-ATP certificate with a multi-engine rating under IAW 61.160. The applicant must be at least 21. Total-flight-time alternatives are 1,500 hours
- 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate
- 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification
- or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate. The posting also requires 200 hours of cross-country flight time over 50 nm, 250 hours fixed-wing PIC, 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings, 75 hours of instrument time actual or simulated in flight excluding simulator time, completion of the ATP written before the start of Indoctrination Training, 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time, and a current FAA First-Class Medical certificate. Candidates need a valid passport, authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction, a valid United States passport, and a valid state driver's license
