About This Role
NetJets is seeking a Midwest-based First Officer to provide safe, technically accurate air transportation while delivering a highly personalized private-aviation experience. The Pilot serves as the face of NetJets, remains in full command of the aircraft, supports Owners and passengers throughout the complete FBO-to-destination journey, and may perform both professional flight-crew and concierge-style in-flight service responsibilities. The position requires FAA ATP or eligible Restricted ATP qualifications, extensive flight experience, international travel readiness, schedule flexibility, strong passenger-service skills, and the ability to operate safely and professionally in demanding conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely from taxi through takeoff and landing on every flight in accordance with FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and standard operating practices.
- Greet Owners and passengers before departure, make introductions, brief them on the specific flight and trip, verify the itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes.
- Deliver in-flight service when needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering.
- Load and properly stow baggage on the aircraft as required.
- Handle and conduct flights for Owners traveling with pets and for Owners who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all operational matters, including compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as the liaison between Owners or passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until they have safely landed at the final destination and departed the final FBO.
- Report maintenance abnormalities and discrepancies to the Company's fleet Maintenance Control Center controller and complete all paperwork associated with those issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned according to the position and operational assignment.

Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. The posting does not specify a minimum number of years of experience. Required aviation credentials and experience include an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate, Restricted ATP, or eligibility to meet FAA ATP or R-ATP requirements under 14 CFR 61.160, with a multi-engine rating. The listed flight-time pathways are 1,500 hours of total flight time, 1,250 hours with the appropriate university R-ATP certificate, 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with the appropriate university R-ATP certificate. Candidates must also have 200 hours of cross-country flight time over 50 nm, 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC time, 100 hours of night flying or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings, 75 hours of instrument time in actual or simulated in-flight conditions excluding simulator time, and 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time. The ATP written examination must be completed before the start of indoctrination training. Additional requirements include a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, valid United States passport, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and travel internationally, a valid state driver's license, and the ability to obtain airport-authority and/or US Customs security badges and pass TSA background screening. The role requires a neat, well-groomed, service-oriented presentation, strong oral and written communication under pressure, sound and rapid decision-making, attention to technical and passenger-service detail, and the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly. Candidates must be able to work around and handle animals and conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
