About This Role
NetJets is recruiting a First Officer for the Midwest Region within its Crewmembers department. The pilot is responsible for safe, FAA-compliant private air transportation and for delivering a personalized, concierge-level experience to NetJets Owners and passengers. The role combines flight-deck responsibility and final authority over the aircraft with customer-facing work, including greetings and briefings, itinerary and weather updates, baggage handling, in-flight catering and alcohol service, and support for flights involving pets or smoking passengers. Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the aircraft safely from taxi through takeoff and landing on every flight, following FAA guidelines, Original Equipment Manufacturer checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual or Aircraft Operating Manual, and Standard Operating Practices. Greet Owners and passengers before departure, make introductions, brief them on the specific flight or trip, verify the itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain itinerary changes. Provide in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and catering
- load and properly stow baggage
- and handle flights for Owners with pets or who smoke. Act as the final authority on the aircraft for all areas of operation and ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidance. Serve as a liaison between Owners or passengers and NetJets from their arrival at the FBO until they have safely landed and departed the destination FBO. Communicate maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company's fleet Maintenance Control Center Controller and complete all associated paperwork. Perform other duties as assigned according to the position and essential-functions documentation.

Requirements
- High school education is listed, and no separate years-of-experience minimum is specified. Candidates must hold an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for either certificate, with a multi-engine rating under 61.160. The listed total-flight-time alternatives are 1,500 hours
- 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate
- 1,000 hours with a military pilot qualification
- or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate. The posting also requires 200 hours of cross-country flight time over 50 nm, 250 hours of fixed-wing PIC time, 100 hours of night flying or the stated 75-hour alternative with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings, 75 hours of instrument time actual or simulated in flight excluding simulator time, completion of the ATP written before Indoctrination Training, and 50 hours of fixed-wing multi-engine time. Candidates need a current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, an FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, a valid passport, authorization to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restriction, and a valid state driver's license. They must pass Transportation Security Administration background screening and secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges.
