About This Role
Flair Airlines is recruiting First Officers for its Boeing 737 fleet, with the position available at its pilot bases in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. Reporting to the Chief Pilot within Flight Operations, the First Officer operates flights across Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean as the low-cost carrier expands its network, increases frequencies and adds services. The role supports planning and execution of each flight in line with regulatory requirements, company policies and standard operating procedures, covering pre-flight preparation, in-flight duties and post-flight tasks while keeping clear communication with operational teams. Flair describes the job as demanding strong situational awareness, sound judgment and a consistent commitment to safety and professionalism on every flight. The advertised package includes a base salary range set by the collective agreement, a minimum monthly guarantee of 75 flying credits with overtime eligibility after 88 hours, guaranteed days off each month, health and retirement benefits and travel privileges.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer conducts detailed pre-flight inspections of aircraft systems, records and operational requirements to ensure readiness for departure, and assists the pilot-in-command with aircraft operation in all phases of flight while adhering to company procedures, Transport Canada regulations and industry best practices.
- The role monitors weather, aircraft performance and operational conditions and provides timely updates to the pilot-in-command, prepares and reviews flight plans, NOTAMs and operational data for accuracy and compliance, and identifies potential operational disruptions while supporting actions that protect safety, minimise delays and maintain the commercial schedule.
- The First Officer also assists the pilot-in-command in delivering clear and timely communication to crew and passengers about turbulence, weather or other operational considerations, coordinates with Maintenance, SOCC and Dispatch to relay technical or operational information, maintains current knowledge of aircraft systems, SOPs and emerging operational practices, and performs additional operational duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a valid Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or a Commercial Pilot License with successful completion of the IATRA or SAMRA/SARON exams, and have a minimum of 1,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time demonstrating sound judgment, strong situational awareness and safe operational practices. Flair asks for experience operating in a multi-crew IFR environment with exposure to commercial airline procedures, workload management and flight deck coordination
- demonstrated ability to interpret and apply operational data including weather, NOTAMs, performance calculations and flight plans
- familiarity with Transport Canada regulations applicable to commercial operations including CARs 602/604/703/704/705
- and a proven track record of professionalism, reliability and adherence to standard operating procedures. Experience operating Boeing 737 aircraft, including the 737 MAX and NG, is considered a significant asset.
