About This Role
NetJets, a global private aviation operator, is hiring First Officers based across its US East Region. The Pilot delivers a safe, superior air transportation experience for NetJets Owners and passengers on every flight, combining the roles of professional aviator and in-flight service provider. The Pilot is in full command of the aircraft at all times, maintains a professional demeanor, and is expected to wear many hats to provide a concierge-level service experience while upholding an uncompromising safety record.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take-off and landing on each flight, per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and Standard Operating Practices.
- Greet Owners and passengers pre-flight, make introductions, brief them on the specific flight/trip, verify the itinerary, provide weather updates and safety briefings, and explain any itinerary changes.
- Deliver in-flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and serving catering, and load and properly stow all baggage.
- Handle and conduct flights for Owners with pets and for those who smoke.
- Act as the final authority on the aircraft across all areas of operation, including compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
- Serve as a liaison between Owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO through safe landing and departure at the final destination.
- Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) Controller on duty for the fleet and complete the associated paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on the assignment.

Requirements
- Education: High School. Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and a First Class Medical Certificate required. Candidates must hold an FAA ATP, a Restricted ATP, or meet the requirements for an FAA ATP or Restricted ATP (R-ATP) certificate with multi-engine rating in accordance with 61.160. Age: at least 21 years old. Total flight time: 1,500 hours, or 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate, or 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification, or 1,000 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate (the 1,000-hour pathway is the lowest entry floor). Additional flight-time requirements: 200 hours cross-country (>50 nm)
- 250 hours fixed-wing PIC
- 100 hours night flying, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings
- 75 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in-flight, excluding simulator time)
- 50 hours fixed-wing multi-engine time. The ATP written must be completed prior to the start of Indoctrination Training. Also required: current FAA First-Class Medical certificate, FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit, valid passport, and authorization to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction. Must be able to work varying hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays

Must pass TSA background screening, secure airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, hold a valid US passport and a valid state driver's license, and be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English. Must be service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance, strong oral and written communication under pressure, and sound decision-making. Physical: able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Must be able to work around animals (including handling and care around Owner flights) and conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
