About This Role
SkyShare is hiring a Pilatus PC-12 Captain for its Part 135 flight department, with the position based at the Ogden, Utah operational base and the department based in Salt Lake City. The Captain will use professional single-pilot expertise to operate safely and compliantly while delivering a high level of client service and memorable customer experiences. The role supports SkyShare's fractional aircraft ownership, private aircraft charter, and managed-aircraft services, within a fleet ranging from Pilatus PC-12 turboprops to long-range Gulfstream GV jets. SkyShare is seeking an adaptable, professional, safety-focused pilot who collaborates effectively across departments, approaches operational challenges proactively, and demonstrates passion, integrity, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain will ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations, SkyShare policies, checklists, and operating best practices while delivering safe and professional service to clients.
- The role may require duties of up to 14 hours per day during trips lasting as many as eight consecutive days, including operations across multiple time zones and in significantly different weather conditions.
- Captains will work a flexible 8/6 rotation that includes days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, and must be available for overnight trips involving several days and nights away from home in hotels.
- The position also requires a customer-focused professional approach, effective collaboration across departments, proactive problem-solving, sound decision-making, and readiness to manage changing operational demands.
What We Offer
SkyShare offers an annual salary of $90,000–$100,000 based on experience, with flight-hour pay tiers of $90,000 for pilots with less than 1,500 hours, $95,000 for 1,500–2,000 hours, and $100,000 for more than 2,000 hours. Annual salary increases are provided on the employee's anniversary. Captains work an 8/6 rotation. Training includes an 18-month repayment contract broken down quarterly. Requirements
- Applicants must have prior professional single-pilot experience and either an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with the appropriate category and class. The posting requires a minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time, including 1,000 hours as PIC, 300 hours of turbine time, 100 hours of instrument time with at least 50 hours in actual flight, 500 hours of cross-country time, and 100 hours of night flying. Candidates must hold a valid FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate, FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, and FAA Instrument Rating, and must have a valid U.S. passport and driver's license together with current IFR knowledge and experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and must be able to pass TSA background checks and obtain an appropriate SIDA badge when applicable.
