About This Role
Ornge is hiring permanent full-time PC-12 EMS Captains in Sudbury and Sioux Lookout to operate fixed-wing air-ambulance and critical-care transport flights across Ontario.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Position Summary: PC 12 EMS Captains are responsible for all aspects of aircraft operation including crew and passenger safety and must be able to fly in varying conditions, handle pressure well and be flexible and adaptable.
- They are responsible for following all applicable policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ornge aircraft are province wide resources and aviation personnel may be required to provide flight support at bases other than the home base where demand arises.
- All Ornge pilots are required to complete the company’s training program and have successfully pass a PPC/IFT check conducted by a Transport Canada Inspector or Approved Check Pilot.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Valid Canadian ATPL (issued by Transport Canada).
- A minimum of 2000 hours of flight experience.
- A minimum of 500 hours of experience as a Pilot-In-Command (PIC).
- Valid Group 1 IFR rating.
- Valid Category 1 Medical.
- Valid Canadian Passport or ability to work in Canada and unrestricted ability to travel to the USA.
- A satisfactory criminal record check and immunization record with required vaccinations.
- Prior PC12, EMS, and/or Northern Ontario flight experience would be considered an asset.
