American Flyers offers a Mechanic to Pilot sponsorship program combining A&P work with flight training scholarships. Selected candidates earn salary plus monthly flight training scholarships to obtain Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot licenses, with possible CFI/CFII extensions. Upon completion, opportunities exist for employment as a Flight Instructor or A&P mechanic with American Flyers.
Requirements
- Must possess valid A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certificates
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Successful interview completion
- Must be 17 years or older (FAA minimum for private pilot)
- Valid Class 3 Medical Certificate (minimum for private pilot)
