About This Role
Flexjet, a global leader in private aviation offering fractional ownership, leasing, and jet card services, is seeking an Instructor Pilot to deliver comprehensive pilot training at their CAE Training Center in Dallas, TX. The role involves simulator-based training, classroom instruction, and proficiency evaluations for Flexjet's 1,200+ pilots operating over 230 aircraft worldwide. Candidates must hold an FAA ATP with type rating in at least one Flexjet fleet aircraft and preferably have one year of operational experience with Flexjet. This position offers the opportunity to shape pilot development and maintain the highest standards in premium private aviation training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver simulator flight training to Flexjet pilots
- Conduct classroom instruction in all training subjects
- Assist in development of courseware and training materials
- Support development and certification of training curriculums
- Deliver initial and recurrent pilot training on CRM, SOPs, and procedures
- Conduct proficiency evaluations as directed
- Maintain currency on regulatory issues impacting flight operations
- Inspect work and ensure quality standards are met
- Support team members and mentor other instructors
- Maintain safe operations and prevent unsafe acts
- Contribute to Safety Risk Management and Quality systems
Requirements
- FAA ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) license
- Type rating in at least one Flexjet fleet aircraft
- Minimum one year experience as a pilot with Flexjet preferred
- Thorough knowledge of FAA regulatory issues
- Knowledge of simulator-based flight training program structure
- Current instructional design technology knowledge
- Working knowledge of Flexjet Flight Operations Manual
- Knowledge of Flexjet organizational structure and policies
- Ability to travel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to judge and evaluate pilot performance impartially
- Record-keeping and documentation skills
- Proficiency with CAMP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to function in high-demand environment
