About This Role
Silver Air Private Jets is hiring a full-time G550 Second-in-Command for an established owner account in Van Nuys, combining private and charter flying. Candidates must live in, or relocate to, the Los Angeles/Van Nuys area; this is not a commuter or rotational role. Published annual compensation is USD 130,000-160,000. The employer offers mentoring by experienced Gulfstream pilots and international flying exposure.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Check airworthiness and complete pre-flight inspections.
- Review weather, routes, destination and alternate facilities.
- Conduct flights under Silver Air procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Protect passengers, crew and aircraft and complete trip documentation.

Requirements
- At least 1,500 hours total flight time and 1,000 multi-engine hours.
- Valid First Class medical.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorisation for commercial travel to and from Canada.
- Live in or relocate to the Los Angeles/Van Nuys area.
- Professional customer service and communication, attention to detail, teamwork and effective time management.
- Flexibility for on-call work, nights, weekends, holidays and changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 500 hours turbine time.
- G450/550 or GV type rating.
- Previous Part 135 experience.
