About This Role

Air Methods is hiring an FW Check Airman based in Watkins, Colorado to serve as a company instructor who performs an oversight, safety, and qualification role for Helicopter and/or Fixed Wing pilots undergoing evaluation, conducting initial and recurrent training and flight checks in a classroom, an aircraft, or a flight simulator. Applicants must hold a Commercial/Instrument rating (ATP in aircraft category preferred) and a CFI/CFII (Rotor wing) certificate or willingness to obtain one within a year, and must meet the Instrument Flight Rules Program flight-hour minimums: 2500 total flight hours with at least 2000 hours in category, 1000 hours PIC in category, and 500 hours of turbine time, among other subcategories. Key responsibilities include evaluating operational compliance with the General Operations Manual, developing and implementing flight and ground training schedules, maintaining pilot record-keeping per applicable FARs, and operating advanced training devices and full-motion simulators. The role is a Regular Full-Time, remote-eligible position paying USD $89,650.00 to $134,475.00 per year and is subject to DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing.
