About This Role
Life Flight Network is hiring a full-time Float Fixed Wing Pilot to safely operate Pilatus aircraft transporting critically ill and injured patients. The pilot covers open shifts caused by line-pilot vacations and leave in Boise, Idaho, and Richland, Washington; seven shifts are guaranteed per pay period, although shifts may not be consecutive or based at the same location. The role includes varied shifts, possible on-call availability, patient and cargo transport, safety leadership, and coordination in demanding situations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate Pilatus aircraft for the transport of critically ill and injured patients. Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections

- load patients, passengers, baggage, and cargo
- and analyze weather conditions. Maintain required logs and records, prepare written reports, and clean the aircraft, unit quarters, and hangar. Work varied shifts and possible on-call shifts while covering open schedule positions. Follow Life Flight Network's safety and risk-management culture, Safety and Risk Management Agreement, SMS, and related policies

Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field is preferred. Applicants must have at least six years of professional pilot experience, hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate, and meet the stated experience thresholds: 2,500 hours of airplane PIC time, 1,000 hours in aircraft with retractable landing gear, 1,500 turbine hours, 500 hours in a turboprop aircraft, 250 instrument hours, and 250 hours of unaided night experience. Twenty-five hours operating a PC-12 plus successful ground and flight school completion within the previous 12 months is preferred, as are recent air-medical transportation and mountain experience. A current FAA Second Class flight physical, Microsoft Office proficiency, strong verbal and written communication, and effective customer-service skills are required. The pilot must travel by personal or company vehicle throughout Life Flight Network's service area and hold a valid driver's license, maintain an automobile in good repair, and provide proof of auto insurance. If the applicant does not hold a single-engine ATP at hire, it must be added during initial-hire training or no later than the first annual recurrent training event
