About This Role
Grant Aviation, an Alaskan regional air carrier serving rural Alaska since 1971 with bases in Bethel, Emmonak, Dillingham, King Salmon, Cold Bay, Dutch Harbor, Kenai and Anchorage, is hiring a Flight Standards Manager. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role owns the standardization of all flight policies and procedures, builds and maintains the advanced qualification programme, supervises the ground and flight instructor group, and serves as a company flight instructor and check airman as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure standardization of all flight policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations
- Create, review and revise an advanced qualification program aligned to regulatory requirements and industry best practice
- Develop and implement advanced qualification programs
- Supervise and train ground and flight instructor personnel
- Serve as a company flight instructor and check airman as required
- Enforce departmental safety objectives and liaise with regulatory authorities
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief Pilot, Flight Training Manager, LMS Manager and Pilot Records Clerk on pilot training consistency

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating
- Experience in Part 135 or 121 operations
- Strong communication, organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility and adaptability
