About This Role
StarFlyer is recruiting approximately two mid-career First Officer candidates for long-term full-time employment. Applicants must hold an A320 type rating, have recent A320 operating experience, and have served as a First Officer at a Japanese scheduled airline. The position is based at either Kitakyushu Airport or Haneda Airport, with training conducted at StarFlyer's Kitakyushu facilities. Work is performed on a shift schedule under a one-month variable-hours system, and transfers or changes to the assigned workplace may occur.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The initial assignment is flight crew work.
- Training is conducted at Kitakyushu Airport facilities.
- The role uses shift work under a one-month variable working-hours system averaging no more than 40 hours per week, with overtime possible.
- The company may change the scope of duties to work designated by StarFlyer and may change the assigned workplace or transfer the employee.
What We Offer
Base salary is determined under StarFlyer's regulations according to job duties, required qualifications, years of practical experience and previous employment history, with individual details explained during the interview. The package includes flight-duty, overtime, holiday-work and night-work allowancesregular salary increases and an annual April wage revisionand bonuses, with the 2025 results showing summer and winter payments, subject to company performance. Requirements
- Applicants must hold a JCAB Commercial Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating, have experience operating as a First Officer at a Japanese scheduled airline, and hold an A320 type rating.
- The applicant must have left A320 operations less than three years ago, hold an Aviation Radio Operator's license or an equivalent license recognized as equal or higher, possess a valid Class 1 aviation medical certificate, and hold Aviation English Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
- Former StarFlyer pilots with previous operating experience may also apply.
- Required application materials include the designated résumé, career history, aviation career record, copies of the JCAB Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and other certificate pages showing ratings, Aviation English proficiency, Instrument Rating and competency checks, the aviation radio license, Class 1 medical certificate, medical examination applications from the previous two years, the final page of the flight logbook or equivalent evidence of flight activity, documentation confirming aircraft-specific flight experience, and the designated health-status declaration.
