About This Role
Fixed Wing Pilot (Pilot in Command) for AirMed International, part of Global Medical Response (GMR), flying a King Air 200 air-medical aircraft based in San Antonio, TX. Operates under FAR Part 135 on a 7-days-on / 7-days-off rotation with 12-hour shifts at the base hangar to meet a 30-minute launch window. Annual salary $111,589-$122,748 (scaling to a maximum of $156,224), plus a $15,000 sign-on bonus, $40,000 retention bonus, and up to $5,000 relocation assistance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Pilot in Command is the final authority in the operation of the aircraft, responsible for the safe conduct of flights conducted under FAR Part 135 and exercising Operational Control on the Tier 2 level. Complies with the duties and responsibilities in AirMed International's general operating manual
- ensures the aircraft is ready for mission in coordination with AirMed's global operations center
- complies with all applicable FARs and OpSpecs
- supervises other assigned crew members during flight. May need to de-ice the plane, assist with towing and maneuvering the aircraft in and out of the hangar, and prep the plane for flight. Attends meetings, training, and check-flights as required. Reports to the Base Lead Pilot, the Chief Pilot, and the Director of Operations.
Requirements
- Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, San Antonio, Texas.
- Must hold, or be able to attain, BE-200PL21 and C-90 PIC Qualification.
- The ideal candidate will have single pilot IFR experience.
- Previous medevac and/or cargo experience preferred.
- Valid and unexpired driver's license.
- Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate.
- 2500 Airplane Total Time Hours.
- 500 Airplane Multi-Engine Land Hours.
- 1000 PIC Airplane Hours.
- 100 Hours in Type.
- 75 instrument (50 actual) hours.
- Must hold valid US Passport.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or higher.
