About This Role
Frontier Airlines First Officer responsible for delivering great customer service while ensuring safe and timely flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. Frontier is a US low-fare scheduled carrier serving more than 100 destinations across the continental United States, Canada, Caribbean, Central America and Mexico on more than 500 daily flights.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures the safe and timely completion of flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
- Responsible for the operation of the aircraft during the designated period of duty unless relieved by Company authority.
- Through completion of appropriate pre and post-flight inspection, ensures the airworthy condition of assigned aircraft.
- Becomes familiar with existing and forecast departure, arrival, and alternate station weather prior to each flight.
- Ensures the flight is planned and fueled properly so it may be conducted safely.
- Assists with and ensures proper handling of aircraft, passenger, baggage, and cargo at terminal points and keeps an awareness of an on-time departure.
- Notifies crew and passengers promptly of turbulence, adverse weather conditions or any other operational factors.
- Ensures that the load manifest for a flight is reviewed and the passenger count is verified prior to each departure.
Requirements
- 1,500 hours total flight time (2,500 hours preferred)
- 750 hours multi-engine fixed wing (preferred)
- 500 hours pilot in command (PIC) (preferred)
- 500 hours jet/turboprop (preferred)
- Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ATP Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
- Valid US Passport (machine readable) and ability to travel in and out of the United States or valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to travel in and out of all cities/countries served by Frontier Airlines
- Ability to relocate
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, nights, holidays and overnight trips including red eyes
- Experience with EFIS and FMS preferred. Possess excellent English communication skills (speak, read, write).
