About This Role
Porter Airlines is recruiting First Officers to operate the Embraer E195-E2 from its Toronto Pearson base. The role offers the opportunity to operate modern jet technology while joining a major growth programme in which Porter plans to welcome more than 1,200 new pilots over the next four years. Duties & Responsibilities
- Porter pilots are expected to lead and collaborate with team members to meet organizational goals and the Flying Refined service standards.
- They must actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS), report hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations, and understand, comply with, and promote the Company Safety Policy.
- The role emphasizes safe flight operations and the highest personal and professional standards.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot Licence, or have completed the SAMRA and SARON examinations, and must have at least 1,500 hours of total flight time.
- Previous jet experience in high-density airspace is an asset, with preference for pilots who have E170 type-variant time and CARs 705 operational experience.
- Aviation college or a university degree is an asset.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must hold either a valid Canadian passport or a valid international passport together with a valid US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D).
- Porter notes that pilots who do not meet the minimum requirements may still be considered based on experience and other factors.
