About This Role
Cathay Pacific Airways seeks Direct Entry First Officers to fly a world-class fleet including A321neo, A330, A350, B777, and B747 on regional and long-haul routes from Hong Kong. Requires minimum 1,500 total hours with 500 PIC hours. Offers established pathway to Command, generous benefits including staff travel, education allowance, and provident fund.
Requirements
- ICAO Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Multi Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR)
- ATPL examinations credits obtained without exemption or conversion
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above
- Minimum 1,500 hours total flying time (3,000 hours preferred)
- Minimum 500 hours as P1 (Pilot in Command)
- Maximum 250 hours P1 U/S (Under Supervision) towards PIC requirement
- Either: 500 hours on civil aircraft for multi-crew operations with MTOW >45,000 kg; OR 1,500 hours on civil aircraft certified for multi-crew operations with MTOW >10,000 kg or certified for more than 19 passengers
- 500 hours (including at least 250 P1 and/or P1 U/S hours) in the preceding 5 years
- OR 100 sectors in the preceding 5 years
- Pass pre-employment medical check including HKCAD Class 1 medical
- Pass background check including criminal records
- Pass pre-employment drug test per HKCAD Guidance CAD373
- Eligible to live and work in Hong Kong SAR
