About This Role
Atlas Air is hiring a Miami-based First Officer for its FAR Part 121 flight operations. The role supports a modern all-Boeing fleet including Boeing 747, 777, and 767 aircraft, carrying missions ranging from U.S. military and humanitarian operations to sports teams, music superstars, e-commerce, and global economic activity. Applicants must hold an unrestricted FAA ATP and meet extensive medical, passport, work authorization, security, flight-hour, records, and operational requirements. Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Atlas Air flight operations as a First Officer across the company's Boeing 747, 777, and 767 fleet, helping carry cargo and other missions for the U.S. military, humanitarian organizations, sports teams, music superstars, e-commerce, and economies worldwide.
- Perform the role within FAR Part 121 operational requirements and Atlas Air's crewmember appearance standards while working varying schedules that may include reserve duty, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Apply strong communication, leadership, and accurate, timely decision-making in a multi-crew environment, with the operational capability to work in complex airspace, conduct sophisticated instrument procedures, and use advanced flight-management and avionics systems.
- Maintain the records and documentation required for training, regulatory, security, and pilot-record evaluations.

Requirements
- Required qualifications include a current unrestricted FAA ATP certificate with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement, a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate, an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, and a valid passport without international-travel restrictions. Passports must have at least 24 months of validity, and the applicant's legal name must match across the passport, employment authorization documents, FAA licenses, and permits. Candidates must be able to obtain a CANPASS permit, be legally authorized to work in the United States with appropriate documentation, pass a DOT pre-employment drug test, and be between 23 and 65 years of age. They must also pass a 10-year security background check, PRIA and PRD evaluations, and provide five years of domestic and/or foreign training records or adequate supporting documentation. Minimum flight-hour requirements are 1,500 hours total time and either 1,000 hours of fixed-wing time or 500 hours with a Part 121 or 135 operator, or rotary experience as stated in the posting. Military flight-training graduates may qualify with a minimum of 250 PIC fixed-wing hours. Preferred qualifications include 2,500 hours operating in an FAA Part 121, 135, 91, or military environment
- 500 hours of turbine time
- more than 200 hours flown within the past 12 months
- significant wide-body, PIC, military, or international experience
- experience with complex avionics
- multi-crew CRM/TEM knowledge
- complex-airspace and sophisticated instrument experience such as LNAV/VNAV or RNAV approaches and FMC manipulation
- and a preferred bachelor's degree in aviation flight, aviation management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Atlas Air notes that it considers aircraft complexity, operation type, recency, quality, quantity, and verifiability of flight time and associated logs.
