About This Role
Vietjet Air, a leading low-cost carrier in Southeast Asia, is seeking First Officers to operate the A320/A321 fleet from multiple bases across Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Cam Ranh). Candidates must have a minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time, a valid ATPL with current A320/A321 type rating, and a Class 1 Medical Certificate. The role involves flight planning, pre-flight checks, air traffic control communication, and crew coordination with excellent safety focus. This position offers a competitive negotiable salary package with employment starting July 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Formulate flight plans
- Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure safety
- Communicate with air traffic control for landing and take-off requests
- Check cockpit instruments to ensure proper functioning
- Observe weather conditions, aircraft position, and air traffic during flight
- Request flight plan changes if needed
- Collaborate with flight attendants to ensure passenger compliance with regulations
- File flight reports and aircraft status reports
Requirements
- Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time (1,500 hours for A320F operations)
- Valid ATPL license with current A320/A321 type rating
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- Valid Instrument Rating and Aircraft Rating
- Certificate of Upset Recovery Training in Full Flight Simulator
- Last flight on A320/A321 within 6 months during licensing period
- ICAO English Level 4 or higher
- Letter of authentication from Civil Aviation Authority of CPL/ATPL country of origin
- Recommendation Letter or Release Letter from previous airlines
- Criminal Record check within 6 months (notarized by Vietnam embassy)
- No history of Accident or Incident within 5 years
- Last 5 pages of logbook
- Passport with minimum 1-year validity
- Maximum age 60 (Male) and 55 (Female)
- Completed flight training history survey
