About This Role
Eastern Airlines is seeking a First Officer for its 767 operation in Kansas City. The position reports to the Chief Pilot and includes a minimum guarantee of 70 hours per month. Successful candidates must hold or obtain a first-class medical certificate, be type rated on multi-engine aircraft, understand applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, communicate effectively, and work safely with crew members and customers in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer is a flight-crew member who works with the Captain to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo and the safe conduct of each flight.
- The role provides guidance and coordinates the activities of personnel involved in all phases of aircraft operations, remains operationally responsible to the Captain on every flight, and performs flight duties assigned by the Captain.
- The First Officer must maintain a current first-class medical certificate and notify the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, or designee if a physical or mental condition affects the ability to perform flight duties.
- The position also requires the First Officer to assume authority on behalf of the Captain if the Captain becomes incapacitated, understand the Captain's duties and responsibilities, and accept delegated responsibilities from the Captain.

Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license, an FAA first-class medical certificate or the ability to obtain one before training, a valid driver's license, and an impeccable safety and training record.
- The successful candidate will be type rated on multi-engine aircraft, with preference given to applicants typed on the B-767 or B-757.
- Preferred qualifications include previous B-767 FAR 121 experience and Crew Resource Management experience.
- Applicants must be able to multitask and work under pressure, work days, swing, or midnight shifts and holidays according to seniority-based bidding, travel as required, pass drug and alcohol background checks, complete the pre-employment DOT drug test, pass a criminal history records check, hold a valid passport, demonstrate English proficiency consistent with at least ICAO Level 4, and be eligible to work in the United States as a US passport holder or Green Card holder.
