About This Role
German Airways, Germany's second-oldest airline, is hiring experienced First Officers for full-time permanent positions at Cologne/Bonn and Berlin. The role joins an airline with more than 60 years of experience, a modern Embraer E190 jet fleet, and ACMI, wet-lease and charter assignments serving leading European airlines. First Officers will support the airline's long-standing ACMI contracts and have the prospect of accelerated Captain training on the Embraer E190, while working in a flexible, quality-focused and team-oriented environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As an experienced First Officer, you will support German Airways' long-standing ACMI assignments from the Cologne/Bonn or Berlin bases and contribute to its wet-lease and charter operations with the Embraer E190 fleet.
- The role supports the airline's service, quality, flexibility and precision commitments for leading European airline customers and involves working closely with an engaged team.
- German Airways also offers the prospect of accelerated Captain training on the Embraer E190, creating a progression opportunity alongside the operational First Officer role.

Requirements
- Required qualifications include an EASA ATPL(A), an EASA Class 1 medical certificate and ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher. Applicants must be native German speakers or have German at B2 level
- alternatively, they may be native English speakers or have English at B2 level. The role requires at least 4,000 hours of total flight experience, including at least 1,000 hours on aircraft above 20 tonnes. Candidates must hold an unrestricted EU passport, have authorization to work in the EU and possess a valid security-reliability clearance. The posting also requires Abitur, Fachhochschulreife or a subject-specific university entrance qualification, together with leadership qualities, a high level of personal responsibility, flexibility, teamwork and strong commitment.
