About This Role
Scoot is recruiting a Direct Entry First Officer for its Singapore Assessment Centre. Working with the Captain, the First Officer focuses on delivering safe, comfortable and on-time flight performance while contributing to Scoot's passenger experience and its distinctive Scootitude service culture. Scoot describes a fleet spanning the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787 Dreamliners, although this vacancy does not identify the assigned aircraft fleet. The selection process includes online aptitude testing, a Singapore Assessment Centre with group and individual interview stages, followed by a two-day simulator and personality assessment. Where applicable, successful candidates will receive training to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating, subject to training-cost co-payment and a training bond.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Working with the Captain, the First Officer focuses on delivering safe, comfortable and on-time flight performance.
- The role also contributes to the Scoot team by delivering the Scootitude experience to all passengers.
What We Offer
Where applicable, successful candidates will be trained to acquire an Aircraft Type Rating for the assigned fleet.Candidates provided with type-rating training will be subject to co-payment of the training cost and will be required to enter a training bond.
Requirements
- Applicants must have more than 1,500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time on aeroplanes with an MTMA of 5,700 kg or more. They must hold a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore-issued ICAO CPL(A) or ATPL(A)
- candidates with a foreign ATPL will need to complete licence conversion, including an instrument rating and a proficiency check with at least six months of validity. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to speak and understand English at a minimum of ICAO Level 4 and satisfy all vaccination requirements stipulated by CAAS. Scoot considers a keen willingness to learn, a strong passion for aviation, teamwork, composure, confidence, maturity, a sense of humour and the Scootitude DNA desirable. Shortlisted candidates will complete online aptitude tests, attend the Singapore Assessment Centre for group and individual interviews, and, if successful, complete simulator and personality assessments over two days. Candidates who receive applicable type-rating training will be required to co-pay the training cost and enter into a training bond.
