About This Role
SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) is recruiting Direct Entry Captains (type-rated or non-type-rated) for its incoming Embraer E195-E2 fleet (up to 55 aircraft) ahead of its largest-ever summer program in 2026. Permanent contract with a fully funded type rating (3-year bond), fixed base of choice in Copenhagen, Oslo, Bergen or Stockholm, and a starting salary of 67,774 DKK / 72,895 NOK / 69,744 SEK per month depending on base. EASA operator flying a modern fleet of 100+ aircraft across Europe, North America and Asia.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate as Direct Entry Captain on the Embraer E195-E2 from a fixed base in Copenhagen, Oslo, Bergen or Stockholm.
- Flying spans Nordic winter operations and busy international airspace across Europe, North America and Asia.
- Career progression opportunities include transition to A320, A330 or A350.
Requirements
- Unrestricted EASA ATPL (A). EASA ATPL(A), CPL(A), or MPL (Non-Scandinavian EASA licenses accepted, but must be converted before course start). Valid Class 1 Medical. Valid Instrument Rating. ICAO English Level 5 or 6. Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU. Clean criminal record. Flight Time Requirements (one of): 4,000 total flight hours including 250 hours as PIC or PICUS
- OR 3,500 total flight hours including 500 hours as PIC on aircraft with MTOW > 16T
- OR 3,000 total flight hours including 1,000 hours as PIC on aircraft with MTOW > 16T. All requirements must be fully met, and all licenses valid at the time of application.
