About This Role
Perimeter Aviation LP is a Canadian subsidiary of Exchange Income Corporation with approximately 900 employees and a fleet of more than 45 aircraft, including Metro variants, Merlin and Dash 8 aircraft. Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the 705 First Officer transports passengers while making flight safety the primary priority and balancing passenger comfort with on-time performance. The company operates scheduled passenger and freight services in Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, North American charter services, medical evacuation flights and a full-service maintenance facility. The role is suited to a flexible, service-oriented pilot who can work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively, manage stressful situations and demonstrate respect for First Nations communities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct flights in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, the Aircraft Flight Manual and the Company Operations Manual.
- Assist the Pilot-in-Command with the management and operation of each flight, including executing all cockpit procedures.
- Fuel the aircraft and complete thorough pre-flight and post-flight aircraft inspections on behalf of the Captain.
- Carry out take-offs and landings under the authority of the Pilot-in-Command.
- Continue improving flying skills and knowledge with the goal of eventually being ready to assume a Captain position.
- Load, unload and secure cargo and freight as required, continue to meet and exceed Transport Canada pilot qualification standards, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent and either a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with IATRA (Individual Aeroplane Type Rating—Aeroplane) or an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). The minimum flight-time requirement is 500 hours total flight time. Candidates must hold a Category 1 medical and a current Group 1 Instrument Rating. Fluency in English and effective verbal communication and listening comprehension are required. Pilots must be able to obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
