About This Role
Midwest Transplant Network seeks a corporate pilot in Westwood, Kansas to fly company aircraft as PIC or SIC and transport staff, retrieval teams, laboratory materials, and organs. The role also supports scheduling, maintenance, safety management, training, and administrative work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for flying the company aircraft and serving as pilot in command or second in command (consistent with FAA regulations), as needed, as well as administrative and maintenance tasks.
- Transports staff members and retrieval teams to and from donor recovery locations.
- Delivers tissue typing materials to HLA Laboratories.
- Delivers organs to transplant centers.
- Maintains current pilot certificate and qualifications.
Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot License, fixed-wing multi-engine land aircraft and appropriate flight experience in a similar make and type of aircraft operated by the Midwest Transplant Network required.
- Required airman physical must be acquired and maintained.
- Must meet the minimum aircrew requirements for pilot in command.
- Minimum 2500 total flight hours of which, 1000 are in jet turbine aircraft, 1000 in multi-engine aircraft, 1000 PIC, and a type rating for a CESSNA 525 or similar.
- Must be able to obtain 525 type rating within 6 months of hire.
- English proficiency required.
