flyExclusive is hiring a Citation XLS First Officer, serving as Second In Command, for a fully remote position listed in Kinston, North Carolina. The SIC reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and in flight to the Pilot-in-Command, supporting preparation and the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft on domestic Part 135 trips while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Duties & Responsibilities
- As Second In Command, the First Officer reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and reports to the Pilot-in-Command during flight. The SIC assists the PIC in preparing for and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft under Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures, supports domestic Part 135 trip assignments while maintaining a high level of customer service, and follows the duties and responsibilities in all company procedure manuals. The role calls for professionalism and the ability to coordinate and lead the crew. Passenger-service duties include greeting passengers, assisting with seating and luggage storage, conducting passenger briefings, and responding to passenger requests and needs
- other duties may be assigned. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. It requires maintaining a current first-class medical certificate under company policy and notifying the company if a physical or mental condition may impair flight duties. Travel is required 100% while on rotation, and the job involves loud aircraft machinery and jet-engine noise, outdoor and industrial or hangar environments, extreme temperatures, and a tight or possibly cramped business-aircraft interior, along with extended sitting, standing, and walking, all-weather work, and regular pushing or pulling up to 70 pounds and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- The required qualifications include working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 and thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight-operations regulations.
- The posting requires a completed ATP, an FAA First Class Medical, at least 2,000 hours of fixed-wing total time, at least 200 hours of multi-engine time, a valid passport, an appropriate type rating, and the ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to and from Canada as a commercial pilot.
