About This Role
Jet Excellence is a fast-growing Part 135 charter operator headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a modernized fleet and nationwide reach. This home-based Citation X First Officer role operates CE-750 aircraft as Second-in-Command on charter missions, supporting safe, legal, compliant and efficient flight operations while delivering high-quality passenger service. The SIC works closely with the PIC and operations team on flight planning, aircraft readiness, performance calculations, regulatory compliance, threat and error management, and mission execution on a rotating 8/6 or 15/13 schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Citation X SIC supports the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of each flight from flight planning through completion of post-flight duties.
- The SIC is jointly responsible with the PIC for compliance with Federal Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable operating requirements, and must develop the proficiency and judgment needed to perform PIC duties.
- The SIC may assume command if the PIC becomes incapacitated and serves as the Ground Security Coordinator under the TFSSP.
- Responsibilities also include maintaining personal flight- and duty-time limitations, keeping aircraft and physical qualifications current, notifying the company of any qualification changes, assisting with pre- and post-flight planning, performance calculations and airworthiness checks, supporting aircraft readiness and minimizing downtime, delivering exceptional passenger service, collaborating across functions, sharing workload proactively, and applying threat and error management in support of safe mission objectives.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a current CE-750 type rating as a First Officer/SIC
- applications without this certification will not be considered. The role also requires a current FAA First Class Medical certificate, a valid passport, and either U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status with unrestricted U.S. work authorization. Candidates must be ICAO-eligible for international operations and able to complete company training and demonstrate proficiency in all required duties. The stated flight-time minimums are 1,000 total flight hours and 50 hours of multi-engine time. Part 135 experience is preferred. The application screening also asks candidates to confirm that they hold a valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate and First Class Medical. Pilots must reside in the domestic United States, work from a home base, and live within one hour of a major airport.
