About This Role
FJC Charter (Freeman Jet Center) is seeking an experienced Chief Pilot for their King Air charter operation based in Abilene, Texas. This is a management position responsible for overseeing flight crews, implementing operations policies, and maintaining professional standards while also serving as a line pilot. The role requires a minimum of 2500 total hours with 1200 hours PIC (including 500 cross-country hours), plus 3+ years of leadership experience and prior Part 135 operations background. Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage flight crews in coordination with Director of Operations
- Coordinate crew assignments for trips
- Formulate and implement operations policies and procedures with Director of Operations
- Add and remove aircraft from FJC Charter certificate and ensure proper equipment
- Ensure proper documentation is onboard all aircraft
- Maintain aircraft and crew profiles with various entities
- Maintain aircraft weight and balance program
- Submit requested reports regarding flight personnel to Director of Operations
- Ensure all flight crew personnel are qualified and current per FJC Charter Operations Specifications and FAA regulations
- Verify all aerodromes and routes meet FJC Charter standards and requirements
- Disseminate information to crew members regarding routes, airports, NOTAMs, NAVAIDs, company policies, and regulations
- Act for the Certificate holder including signing FAA correspondence and operations specifications
- Manage FJC Charter MEL program
- Maintain proficiency as Pilot-in-Command
- Comply with all FARs, Operations Specifications, Company Policies, and Procedures
- Operate FJC Charter aircraft as line pilot
- Provide exceptional customer service to FJC Charter clients and owners
- Remain knowledgeable of FJC Charter General Operations Manual
- Participate in FJC Charter Safety Management System program
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Requirements
- Minimum 2500 hours total flight time
- 1200 hours pilot in command (includes 500 hours cross-country time)
- 100 hours night time
- 75 hours actual or simulated instrument time
- 3+ years of leadership/management experience
- Valid Commercial Pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings
- Valid English proficiency endorsement
- Able to maintain Second-Class Medical Certificate
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or equivalent years of professional aviation experience
- Meet all required qualifications in CFR Part 119.71
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely computer proficient
- Knowledgeable of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- Able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, sit and stand for extended periods
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- No violation of FAA regulations within the last 5 years
- Prior FAR Part 135 experience preferred
- King Air 90/200 experience preferred
- Subject to random drug testing (DOT Safety Sensitive position)
