flyExclusive is recruiting a full-time Challenger 300/350 First Officer serving as Second In Command (SIC), listed as fully remote from Kinston, North Carolina. Administratively, the SIC reports to the Chief Pilot; in flight, the SIC reports to the Pilot-in-Command and supports preparation and the safe, efficient operation of company aircraft under Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. The role covers domestic Part 135 trips and a high level of customer service, including passenger assistance and briefings, while requiring 100% travel during rotation. It is a safety-sensitive business-aviation position in aircraft, hangar, outdoor and variable-temperature environments, with stated ATP, first-class medical, type-rating, fixed-wing total-time, multi-engine, passport, CANPASS and U.S. work-authorization requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As Second In Command, the First Officer reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and reports to the Pilot-in-Command during flight.
- The SIC assists the PIC with trip preparation and with ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
- Duties include conducting safe and efficient domestic trip assignments under Part 135 while maintaining a high level of customer service, following all company procedure manuals, maintaining a current first-class medical certificate, and notifying the company if a physical or mental condition may impair flight duties.
- The First Officer is expected to maintain a high degree of professionalism, coordinate and lead the crew, greet passengers, assist with passenger seating and luggage storage, conduct passenger briefings, respond to passenger requests and needs, and perform other duties as assigned.
- The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and requires 100% travel while on rotation in loud aircraft and jet-engine, outdoor, industrial, hangar and cramped-cabin environments.
Requirements
- Required qualifications include working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 and thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight-operations regulations. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter with initiative, a positive attitude, strong organization and advanced multitasking ability, clear oral and written communication, presentation skills, accountability, problem-solving ability under pressure, critical thinking, adaptability, quick learning, effective time management, detail orientation, and a focus on excellence. The role requires Microsoft Office proficiency, basic computer and data-entry skills, teamwork, clear English communication, and a well-groomed appearance consistent with company standards. Required credentials and experience are a completed ATP, FAA First Class Medical, at least 2,000 hours of fixed-wing total time, at least 250 hours of multi-engine time, a valid passport, an appropriate type rating, and the ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to and from Canada as a commercial pilot. As a safety-sensitive FAA role, the position is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. Applicants must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States, provide two forms of federal identification, and successfully complete a comprehensive background check covering employment, education, criminal history and other relevant information. The preferred section reiterates a completed ATP and lists at least 2,500 hours of fixed-wing total time, at least 500 hours of multi-engine time, and a type rating in a Challenger or Regional Jet.
