About This Role
Westair Aviation is seeking experienced Captain pilots to operate Beechcraft 1900 and B350 aircraft based in Windhoek, Namibia, with deployment across Africa for extended periods of 6-12 weeks. The role requires a minimum of 1500 total flight hours with 50 hours PIC on type and a valid CPL or ATPL with B1900/B350 type rating. Candidates should be comfortable with extensive travel throughout the African region and preferably have Pro Line 21/Fusion and G1000 endorsements. Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and review flight plans and weather conditions
- Communicate with air traffic control and navigate during flights
- Perform take-offs and landings, managing aircraft systems and controls
- Respond to emergency situations and take necessary actions to ensure safety
- Collaborate with co-pilots, cabin crew, and ground personnel for smooth flight operations
- Maintain accurate records of flight activities and comply with reporting requirements
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
- Valid CPL or ATPL license
- B1900/B350 type rating required
- Minimum 1500 hours total flight time
- Minimum 100 hours multi-engine time
- Minimum 50 hours PIC on type
- Willing to travel for extensive periods (6-12 weeks in Africa)
- Pro Line 21/Pro Line Fusion endorsement preferred
- G1000 endorsement preferred
