About This Role
Sounds Air, a New Zealand regional airline, is accepting applications for C208 (Cessna Caravan) Line Pilot positions based in Wellington or Blenheim. The Caravan is flown single-pilot under both VFR and IFR on scheduled regional services across Cook Strait and the wider network. Minimum requirements are 1,200 hours total time, 75 hours instrument and 50 hours night; applicants up to 15 hours short of the instrument/night minimums may be considered, as these can normally be gained during line training. Sounds Air provides thorough, individually tailored line training (typically 50-80 hours) to a single-pilot check-to-line.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the Cessna 208 Caravan single-pilot under both VFR and IFR
- Fly scheduled regional passenger services across Cook Strait and the wider Sounds Air network
- Complete thorough line training (typically 50-80 hours) to a single-pilot check-to-line
- Maintain high standards of customer service in line with the company's G.U.E.S.T principles
Requirements

- Applicants up to 15 hours under the instrument/night minimums may be considered (these can normally be gained during line training)
- Willing to be based in Wellington or Blenheim, New Zealand
